On my easel are a series of three paintings showing a glimpse of my process. I begin by applying patches of colour in layers, allowing each layer to dry. Then I play with stencils, homemade stamps and paint pens. Finally I draw some 'windows', in this case, some carnations, then I paint out the background. Next is some fine pattern work with paint pens to finish. Stay tuned.

This journal page was fun to create.
I used Liquitex basics and Dylusions paint through a dot stencil in several layers to build up the flower and part of the background. I also stamped swirly designs in the top section before dry brushing to finish. Finally I scribbled detail onto the flower with a uniball signo black gel pen. In art journal class on Monday night we have been exploring Mandalas. Watercolour background added after design is completed with a Uniball signo gel pen. Super fun and relaxing.
